APPOINTMENTS & CANCELLATIONS
At Alabama Smile Design, we consider it a privilege to care for your dental needs. Our patients trust us and we honor that trust by constantly striving to deliver the highest quality dentistry possible and exceptional patient care. You will be greeted with a warm hello and a friendly smile by our front office team who are happy to listen to your concerns and answer your questions. We make every attempt to make you feel at home. It is our optimal goal to provide you and your family with the highest quality dental care, while maintaining a friendly and relaxing environment. To keep our standard of care to a level which best serves your dental needs, we ask that you please observe the following guidelines in regards to our appointment and cancellation policy:
At Alabama Smile Design, we have flexible hours to accommodate all schedules and will cater to patients needs.
Our regular office hours are:
• Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 5:00pm
• Friday – Closed
We take a one hour lunch break from 1:00pm-2:00pm. We have offset our lunch break to accommodate those patients that work during the week and have their lunch hours from 12:00pm-1:00pm.
We understand that emergencies do arise and often at inconvenient times. If you have an emergency during office hours, please call us and we will attempt to get you in as quickly as possible for an evaluation. If you have an emergency after office hours, please call our office and leave a voicemail. One of our team members will get back in touch with you as soon as possible.
Please note that your dental appointment is considered confirmed at the time of booking. This means that we are reserving time with our doctor, assistant and hygienist, as well as operatory space as required.
We therefore request that if you are unable to attend the scheduled appointment, you:
•Contact our office with 48 hours notice to reschedule.
•Contact our office by 5:00 pm Thursday for appointments scheduled on a Monday
In the event that no notice is given, you do not show up for your scheduled appointment or you do not call within the specified times as stated above to reschedule an appointment, the following fees will be assessed:
$40.00 fee for broken hygiene appointment
$40.00 fee per hour scheduled for broken doctor appointment
Please note that insurance companies DO NOT cover fees for broken appointments, therefore payment is the patient’s responsibility and must be paid prior to your next appointment.
Also, a 50% deposit will be required at time of scheduling for all surgeries or restorative treatments.
There are many times when our patients require urgent or emergency treatment and therefore require an appointment as soon as possible. When patients give our office advance notice of their need to reschedule, this time can in turn, be allocated to those patients who are suffering in pain and in need of urgent treatment. In this way we can best serve the needs of all patients.
